Hrusovsky Officially Takes Over as Essar Steel Algoma CEO
06/28/2011 - Having received final regulatory approval, James Hrusovsky has officially assumed the role of CEO of Essar Steel Algoma Inc.
The Essar Steel Algoma Board of Directors has confirmed that James Hrusovsky officially assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer on June 24, 2011 having received final regulatory approval.
The Board had announced the pending appointment early last month. Hrusovsky, 54, is the former CEO of Severstal Columbus.
Essar Steel Algoma Inc. is based in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. Revenues are derived primarily from the manufacture and sale of rolled steel products, including hot and cold rolled sheet and plate.
