Gerdau Produces Steel Piece Weighing Over 100 Tonnes

Gerdau, at its operation in Spain, produced a steel part of over 100 tonnes for one of the largest manufacturers of industrial presses in the world. The product is the largest ever made for this segment in the company’s entire history and one of the largest ever produced in the world. The equipment will be used to manufacture various parts for the automotive, railway, oil & gas, and air transport industries. Over 40 Gerdau employees participated in the production of the part during seven days of work in order to ensure the product’s quality and safety during the entire manufacturing process.
