Leadership and Governance

All leadership positions in the AIST Foundation require membership in AIST and active employment in the iron and steel industry. Refer to the Bylaws for term duration and other requirements.

Board of Trustees

The activities, properties and affairs are managed by a Board of Trustees consisting of 12 members of AIST, appointed by the AIST Board of Directors. In addition, the Treasurer, Secretary and the Executive Director of AIST shall serve as ex officio, nonvoting members.

University-Industry Relations Roundtable

The purpose of the University and Industry Relations Roundtable (UIRR) is to foster communication between our university network and the steel industry. The committee objective is to increase the number of professors teaching a steel-related curriculum, and to increase the number of students interested in a career in the steel industry.
