Copyright Transfer
In accordance with the United States Copyright Law, we are required to obtain a signed copyright agreement form from all authors of Technical Papers and Presentations. Enclosed you will find the Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) copyright form.
The form, or one approved by your company’s legal department for the same purpose, must be on file with us prior to the presentation of your paper.
Note that this assignment is not to be construed that AIST owns the process, product, equipment or service described therein. Your assignment of copyrights to AIST for your paper gives AIST the right to publish in Conference Proceedings, Iron & Steel Technology, AIST Digital Library and any other derivative products.
AUTHOR(S), OR EMPLOYER(S) IN THE CASE OF WORKS MADE FOR HIRE, RETAIN THE FOLLOWING RIGHTS:
All proprietary rights, other than copyright, such as patent rights.
The right to use all or portions of the paper cited above in oral presentations.
The right to make limited distribution of the paper, or portions thereof, prior to publication.
Royalty-free permission to reproduce the paper cited above for personal use, or in the case of a work made for hire, the employer’s use, provided that the source and the AIST copyright are provided, the copies are not used in a way that implies endorsement by AIST of a product or service, and the copies are not offered for sale.
In the case of work performed under U.S. Government contract, AIST grants the U.S. Government royalty-free permission to reproduce all or portions of the paper, and to authorize others to do so for U.S. Government purposes.
