Carpenter Raises Stainless and Specialty Alloy Prices
04/06/2005 - Carpenter Technology Corp.’s Specialty Alloys Operations will increase base prices by 4 to 7% on all stainless alloys, and by 6 to 10% on all premium-melted alloys.
Carpenter Technology Corp.’s Specialty Alloys Operations will increase base prices by 4 to 7% on all stainless alloys, and by 6 to 10% on all premium-melted alloys.
The price increase, which is effective immediately on all new orders, will apply to in all product forms. Raw material surcharges will remain in effect.
Carpenter said that demand continues to be very strong for its premium melted and stainless alloy products. The price increases reflect the stronger demand and increased operational costs associated with energy, freight, manufacturing supplies and healthcare.
