04/01/2007 -
April 2007 — Broner Metals Solutions recently completed a plant information system for JSC Dnepropetsstal’s steelworks at Zaporozhye in Ukraine.
The new system records and manages manufacturing information in the facility’s Electric Arc Furnace Shop No. 2, and is integrated with their new SAP R/3 system. The new system will provide an improved and more responsive decision-support capability, which will help to improve the facility’s productivity and delivery.
Broner used InfoPlus.21 technology to implement the new system for Dnepropetsstal, which provides real-time information and control of plant operations, from furnace charging and steelmaking to casting and quality control, and accurately monitors production data, tracking of materials, and power consumption.
Dnepropetsstal’s new system also includes manual data entry screens, reporting tools, tracking furnace lining condition and repairs, and monitoring of key process indicators.
