Bricmont to Supply Reheat Furnace for Tamco Steel
04/23/2008 - Bricmont is contracted to supply a new pusher reheat furnace for Tamco Steel.
Bricmont, an Inductotherm Group Company, announced that it has been contracted by Tamco Steel to supply a new pusher reheat furnace.
The new reheat furnace will be installed to support the company’s rolling mill operations in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Bricmont said the new furnace will help the facility improve productivity, reduce its fuel consumption, and produce lower emissions.
In addition to supplying the furnace, Bricmont will also provide level 1 and 2 control, billet charging and discharging equipment, and associated automation.
Bricmont has also been contracted to supply six high-production- capacity round top charge aluminum melting furnaces and six rectangular tilting holding furnaces for Nanshan Aluminum Co.’s expanded production facility in the Shandon Province in P.R. China.
The installation will feature state-of-the-art technologies such as regenerative burners with advanced controls, electromagnetic stirring, and in-bath rotary metal refining systems. Bricmont will provide the engineering, materials, procurement and field services for the furnaces. Bricmont’s associated company ICG (Inductotherm Group China) Shanghai will provide all local procurement and site erection services under Bricmont’s direction.
This is the third such contract that that Shandong Nanshan Aluminum has awarded to Bricmont. When the new facility is commissioned in late 2009, it will form part of one of the largest-capacity aluminum casting centers in the P.R. China.
