Audit Confirms NLMK Quality Management Systems Meet International Standards

The auditors presented the company with a new certificate of compliance with ISO 14001:2004, which specifies requirements for environmental management systems, and gave a positive review of the steps taken by NLMK to meet its commitments.
 
BSI auditors evaluated the Quality Management System (including automotive industry requirements); the Environmental Management System; the Occupational Health and Safety Management System; and the Energy Management System. In addition, auditors from the independent certification body inspected the sinter plants; the blast furnace and blast oxygen furnace operations; as well as the rolling, repair and auxiliary shops.
 
The integrated audit of all the management systems at NLMK Group’s main production site confirmed their full compliance with the following standards:
•         ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems – Requirements
•         ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems – Requirements
•         OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems – Requirements
•         ISO 50001:2011 Energy Management Systems – Requirements with Guidance for Use
•         ISO/TS 16949 Particular Requirements for the Application of ISO 9001:2008 for Automotive Production and Relevant Service Part Organizations
