ArcelorMittal Idles Two European Blast Furnaces
09/07/2022 - Softening demand and rising energy prices are prompting ArcelorMittal to idle two of its blast furnaces in Spain and Germany, according to a report.
The furnaces, which are at its Bremen facility in northern Germany and its Gijon facility in northern Spain, will be shut indefinitely, starting at the end of the month.
