AK Steel Announces Surcharges for February 2007

Jan. 4, 2007 — AK Steel announced that it will add a $180 per ton surcharge to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in February 2007.

The company has posted its February 2007 surcharges on the company's website.

AK Steel noted that its surcharges are based on reported prices for the raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products. December 2006 purchase costs were used to determine the February 2007 surcharges.


Headquartered in Middletown, Ohio, AK Steel produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steel products, as well as carbon and stainless tubular steel products, for automotive, appliance, construction and manufacturing markets.
