AK Steel Announces Carbon Steel Price Increase
08/23/2007 - AK Steel will increase spot market prices by $30 per ton for new carbon steel product orders accepted for shipment on October 1, 2007 and later.
AK Steel will increase spot market prices by $30 per ton for its carbon steel products. The increase will take effect for all new orders accepted for shipment on October 1, 2007 and later.
AK Steel said that it is making the price increase in response to increased demand for carbon steel products, as well as the need to recover higher costs for steelmaking inputs.
AK Steel produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steel products, as well as carbon and stainless tubular steel products, for automotive, appliance, construction and manufacturing markets.
