STUDENT PLANT TOUR

►UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT PROJECT PRESENTATION CONTEST

Full-time undergraduate students who have completed a project and will be attending AISTech may submit an application to participate in this contest. Eight students will be selected to present their project in 15-minute increments to a panel of industry judges. Cash prizes of US$1,500 for first place, US$1,000 for second place, and US$500 for third place will be awarded. Review the guidelines.

Full-time graduate students are encouraged to enter this contest and display research related to the iron and steel industry, properties or applications. Authors must be full-time students pursuing a graduate degree and be registered to attend AISTech. STEEL TO STUDENTS RECRUITING RECEPTION

AIST-TMS JOHN F. ELLIOTT LECTURE

This year, students will receive the special opportunity to sit in on an award-winning lecture! The AIST-TMS John F. Elliott Lectureship Award is designed to acquaint you and other young engineers with the exciting opportunities in chemical process metallurgy; inspire you to pursue careers in this field; inform the public of the contributions of chemical process metallurgy and materials chemistry; and honor the late Prof. John Elliott of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for his many accomplishments and the leadership that he provided during his career.

INDIVIDUAL TRAVEL GRANTS
All full-time students who register to attend AISTech before the early bird price deadline will receive a US$250 individual travel grant from the AIST Foundation. Grants will be distributed onsite at the Steel to Students Recruiting Reception on Monday, 5 May 2025.
AISTECH ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE
The university that registers the largest number of students to attend the conference will win US$500. This award will also be presented at the Steel to Students Recruiting Reception on Monday, 5 May 2025.
MATERIAL ADVANTAGE CHAPTER TRAVEL GRANT
Material Advantage chapters who have achieved ACTIVE status in the program and send groups of students to AISTech will automatically be considered for a limited number of US$500 Chapter Travel Grants.
The grants will be awarded after the conference, and funds are paid to the Material Advantage Chapter faculty advisor.
