Peter Weber Peter Weber began his professional career in 1992 at Lurgi Metallurgie in Frankfurt, Germany. He held various positions at Lurgi, including head of business line ferrous and beneficiation. After Outokumpu took over Lurgi, Weber moved to Finland in 2002 to serve as president of metals processing and member of the Executive Committee, where he was responsible for technology and plant construction in the ferrous, non-ferrous, sulfuric acid and energy sectors. In 2006, he moved to the board of the newly founded Outotec, where he continued to be responsible for the metals processing division. Weber was appointed to the Outotec board in 2013, responsible for all business in the EMEA market region. After leaving Outotec in 2015, Weber became managing partner of Küttner GmbH & Co. KG. There he was responsible for non-ferrous and heating technology areas. Since May 2023, Weber has held the position of regional director, metals, Europe for the newly founded Hatch Küttner GmbH. Weber holds an engineering degree in metallurgy from Technical University Clausthal-Zellerfeld and received his Ph.D. in pyrometallurgy from the University of Witwatersrand. |
