Matthias Winkeler

Matthias Winkeler has over 12 years of experience in export and project finance and spent the last six years covering transactions in the metals and mining industry. He is responsible for origination, structuring and execution of various transactions including structured commodity finance, project financing and corporate transactions in the EMEA region. Prior to joining ING, Winkeler worked for KfW IPEX-Bank, being responsible for originating and structuring lead mandates in the metals and mining sector. He also spent two years at the German Ministry of Finance in the export credit department, which is responsible for granting Euler Hermes cover. Winkeler holds a master’s degree in finance from the University of Mannheim.
