Joe Petrolito
Managing Director, Ferrous Metals

Joe Petrolito has over 30 years of experience in the consulting industry as portfolio manager, site manager, project manager, project engineer, construction manager and project controls engineer on multidisciplinary projects. As global managing director, ferrous metals, he is now currently responsible for all aspects of operations for Hatch's Ferrous Metals business, which includes iron ore, coal, iron and steel focusing on client engagement, technology development and deployment, resource management, and active project sponsorship. Prior to this, Petrolito held the roles of global director, aluminium and global director, alliances, Hatch's sustaining capital management practice. That challenge came after spending over 15 years delivering brownfield projects/operational support services mainly to the aluminum industry. After joining Hatch in 1996, he held numerous project management-related roles for various long-standing Hatch clients and gained multidisciplinary project experience in the metallurgical, mining, transportation, manufacturing and industrial sectors. Petrolito is a civil engineer with a master’s degree in engineering management.
